Series: UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series
2002 Moves: Named Lucas Oil official series oil and lubricant, title sponsor of Rookie of the Year $10,000 bonus. Announced very early schedule of 46 stops for '02 season.
The Line: In search of title sponsor to replace the loss of Hav-A-Tampa Cigars after the 2000 season.
 
Series: Renegade Dirtcar Racing Series
2002 Moves: Announced name change to from Renegade STARS to Renegade Dirtcar Racing Series effective January 1, 2002. First date at Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, Va. to come in 2002. Other known dates include McKean County (PA) Raceway in June '02.
The Line: Same great racing will greet fans at stops on 2002 tour.
 
Series: Southern All Star Dirt Series
2002 Moves: Abolished D55 tire rule for rest of 2001. Announced return to Lowe's Dirt Track in Sept. '02.
The Line: Reinstatement of tire rule unlikely for 2002 unless cheating can be cured. No major fallout expected.
 
Series: NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts All Star Series
2002 Moves: Announced the folding of the series for 2002.
The Line: R. I. P.
